Grip Rib, asked and answered
- Will it scratch the phone’s frame?
- The inside is lined with a soft flocked layer, and the walls stop 0.2 mm short of the frame so grit has nowhere to grind. Take it off once a month and wipe both.
- How much bulk does it add?
- 1.4 mm on each side and 1.6 mm on the back, ribs included. It still fits the Desk Stand and the Loop Strap clips under it.
- How do I get it off?
- Push the phone out from the camera corner with your thumb. The case flexes there on purpose; it springs back to shape within a minute.
- Will Ice or Fog go yellow?
- They are coloured all the way through rather than painted, so they wear rather than chip. After a year of daily use expect the ribs to look slightly polished, not discoloured.
